Granite bathroom
Granite in bathrooms creates a luxurious and functional environment
What are the characteristics of granite?
Granite comes in a variety of colours and patterns, from classic neutrals to bolder shades. Granite offers a wide range of choices to suit your preferences and style.
Highly durable, it resists scratches, water, heat, stains and daily wear and tear, making it ideal for wet environments such as bathrooms.
Granite for which bathroom surfaces?
Granite can be used to clad walls, floors, worktops, basins and even baths, providing visual consistency throughout the bathroom. It also blends well with other materials, such as wood, glass or metal, offering many creative combinations to create a unique bathroom.
How is granite maintained?
Regular cleaning of your granite bathroom with a mild cleaner specially designed for stone surfaces will be the wisest choice. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the stone. Use a sponge or soft cloth to wipe the surfaces, followed by a rinse with clean water.
Products containing acids such as vinegar or lemon are not recommended as they can erode the surface of the granite. Use pH-neutral cleaners specifically formulated for stone surfaces.
Although granite is stain resistant, it is recommended that it be sealed for extra protection. Use a natural stone sealer and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application and frequency of sealing.
Spills, particularly coloured or acidic liquids, should be wiped up immediately to avoid potential staining of the granite. To do this, use an absorbent cloth to remove spills as soon as they occur.
Obviously, avoid sliding heavy objects across the surface of the granite, as this could cause scratches or cracks. We recommend using felt pads under objects to protect the granite surface.
